Business volunteers needed at careers events for young people

Mentor with student

The Leicestershire Education Business Company, a careers charity based in Leicester, are looking for support from local business volunteers to attend a number of careers events in March which are being funded by The Careers and Enterprise Company.

The events aim to support secondary school students in year 9, 10 and 11, providing them with the opportunity to talk to business professionals from different sectors to learn more about the wide range of careers our local economy has to offer. These events are a proven way for students to build key skills such as confidence and communication and learn about the workplace skills that employers look for when recruiting, to help students progress in their career journey. All of the events are being delivered virtually.
