This April, Speakers For Schools is breaking down barriers to booming zero-carbon industries and those committed to significantly reducing their carbon footprint with the launch of ‘Green Skills Week’.
By working with some of the world’s leading employers and speakers, Green Skills Week will inform and inspire young people to consider their future in the green economy, giving them practical advice and opening doors to unconsidered futures.
Throughout March and April, Speakers for Schools plans to:
- Broadcast talks by some of the most inspiring speakers to tens of thousands of young people from some of the most influential global figures in green issues and sustainability, and match individual schools with inspiring speakers for bespoke events.
- Facilitate thousands of ‘virtual work experience’ placements and ‘virtual insight days’ with employers from across sectors, focussing on the future opportunities that green jobs offer.
- Provide a platform and events for universities, colleges, and apprenticeship providers to signpost young people to green skills pathways.
Become a Green Skills Week employer
Following a year of upheaval and uncertainty, it is now more important than ever to show young people the job opportunities available as we enter a ‘green industrial revolution.’
We are looking for employers, who are experts in their industries and fields, to partner with us to inform, inspire and introduce young people to green skills careers by offering placements in April 2021.
If you want to find out more about how you can join us to inspire young people as an employer in our green skills campaign, please email partner@greenskillsweek.org
The deadline to offer placements in April is 12 February 2021. However, if any employers wish to offer placements later in the year, please mention this in your email.
