Leicester and Leicestershire’s three universities are offering businesses the chance to benefit for the services and support of their students during the coronavirus crisis.
Services offered include admin and IT support, accounting, design and many more.
The services are being offered virtually, with students from De Montfort University, for example, linking up with businesses over email and video conferencing platforms.
The idea is to support businesses whilst providing students with an opportunity to experience real work despite the restrictions of the coronavirus crisis.
At the LLEP, we’re keen to support such efforts, and can help both businesses and students find the support or the opportunities they need to succeed and achieve their goals.
Our Building the Workforce of the Future guide is now available and contains lots of information on providing placements and apprenticeships, and the benefits that can be gained from bringing students into the workplace.
For young people looking to start their careers, we produce a Leicester and Leicestershire World of Work guide, which contains insights into the top sectors in our region and the kind of qualifications employers are looking for. We also produce a version for adults looking to change careers or rejoin the workforce.
