Apprenticeships are important to our economy. They are a great option for both young people and adults to develop skills whilst being paid.
For businesses, providing opportunities for, and nurturing, talent can be an extremely effective way to develop and retain a solid and committed workforce. There are also incentives available to businesses that take on apprentices.
Apprentices can ‘earn while they learn’, building vital skills that employers need, and progress their career through different qualification levels.
Apprenticeships at all levels are possible
Apprenticeships are available from Level 2 to Level 7. There is a growing demand from businesses for advanced and higher apprenticeships, to support more advanced skills needs.
Many employers are not aware of the benefits of higher–level apprenticeships, which can be used to give a business the skills that it needs.
